Basil Bain is the Principal and Founder of the firm, which conducts a general law practice emphasizing civil, commercial and probate litigation and dispute resolution, personal injury, business and corporate law, federal and state tax controversy and immigration and nationality law.

After previously working as a summer associate for the firm, Mr. Bain accepted a position as a full time associate assigned to both Litigation and Business Clients Departments, where his duties involved all phases of pre-trial work, including preparing pleadings, conducting discovery and attending hearings, as well as handling general corporate work, commercial lending transactions and federal and state tax matters.
He eventually became the senior litigation associate handling all phases of litigation and dispute resolution matters, including initial client conferences, preparation of pleadings, pre-trial discovery, substantive hearings, settlement negotiations, mediations, first-chair trial work, post trial motions and appellate work. Mr. Bain's practice primarily involved complex commercial litigation, but also involved a broad range of other areas, including contractual disputes, probate and trust litigation, creditors' rights, business and personal torts, real property disputes, construction litigation, federal and state tax issues, lender liability, securities fraud, corporate governance issues, employment law, insurance coverage disputes, intellectual property and other areas.
